Every day seems like a vacation at Forest Trace. The halcyon days of Grossinger’s are back!

The tradition and excellence of Grossinger's hospitality and service continue at Forest Trace, a full-service rental, resort-style retirement community in Fort Lauderdale.

Elaine Grossinger-Etess, daughter of renowned Jennie Grossinger of the famed Catskills resort, serves as Forest Trace's Director of Hospitality and Entertainment. That same reputation that made Grossinger's world famous is featured at Forest Trace.

"Grossinger's was a special place where people found enjoyment in a very friendly environment," says Elaine Grossinger-Etess. "Forest Trace has those same qualities of hospitality."

In a magnificent setting of 80 acres surrounding a serene lake, Forest Trace showcases Grossinger-style entertainment such as Freddie Roman, Tony Martin, Betsy Palmer, Theodore Bikel, Jack Klugman, Carol Lawrence, and many more in the Jennie Grossinger Theater.

"People who have experienced or heard about Grossinger's in the Catskills knew that it was a resort-like Shangri-lai," states Mrs. Grossinger-Etess. "Forest Trace has that same mystique: friendly service and a special camaraderie among the people who live there."

Dining at Forest Trace is superb, with services that resemble Grossinger's hallmark hospitality. A full itinerary of activities enables residents to enjoy the friendly, energetic lifestyle. Also featured are spacious apartments and a variety of resort-like facilities.

"There are many people who remember and treasure the memories of the year round resort living at Grossinger's in the Catskills," she says. “We've now transferred that same enezrgy of hospitality, fun and friendly service to Forest Trace in the form of active, retirement living."
