Adult Day Care Centers - offering caregivers with a solution during travel or while away at work.  Provides great socialization and allows caregivers to feel good knowing Mom or Dad is not home alone. 

Assisted Living Facilities - offering short term daily or weekly rates.  Assisted living care can also be used after a recovery period after a short term rehabilitation stay or when a family member needs to leave town.

Home Care Services - Utilize a long term care insurance policy or Aid and Attendance for Veterans.

Non Medical Home Care - Companion, sitters and home health aides

Medicare Home Nursing and Physical Therapy Services - Skilled home health care required by a physician designed for short term, intermittent care either in a home or assisted living facility. 

Caregiver Support Groups - a great way to meet other caregivers and find out about available care options.

Long Term Care Facilities - Nursing Homes - offers caregivers a short term relief when 24 hours skilled care and/or custodial care is required.
